Terms & Conditions

Teal Velvet Bakery is excited to offer classes to share the joy and knowledge of edible art!

Please note that due to the handmade nature of all products, the colors, designs, and other elements of the baked goods may vary slightly from the advertised material (examples: the colors of the icing in the picture used on social media may vary from reality or the sprinkles used in photos might be different based on availability).

All Participants

Due to the structure and layout of the class, non-paying guests and walk-in participants are not typically permitted (there is an exception detailed under “Minor Participants” below).

A ticket for the class or the material/ingredients for the class cannot be shared among multiple people. Each participant must purchase their own ticket.

Minor Participants

Unless a different age requirement is specified for a class, the minimum recommended age requirement for most of our classes is 10 years old (children must be WELL-BEHAVED: attentive during class and must participate appropriately; please use discretion for whether your child is yet mature enough for the class) and older due to the pace of class and material covered. All participants ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult (usually this would be as a participant; in the case where a 12 year old or younger minor is participating but the adult is not, the adult may be a non-paying guest and must be present in the building or parking lot, but not in the classroom; this is an exception to the non-paying guests rule as outlined above under “All Participants”).

Payment

All participants must register and purchase a ticket prior to class. Payment is due in full at time of registration.

Cancellation & Refund Policy

Each class has a minimum class size requirement based on class complexity. In the event the minimum class size is not met, Teal Velvet Bakery (or the partner hosting the class) will reach out to all registered participants before the class date via email to notify of class cancellation. Should Teal Velvet Bakery (or the partner hosting the class) need to cancel a class for any reason (class size minimum not met or other unforeseen circumstances), registered participants will be offered a full refund to their original method of payment or a credit for a future class to be used within 1 calendar year from original cancellation email notification.

If a registered participant cannot attend the class and notifies Teal Velvet Bakery (or the partner hosting the class) at least two week prior to class date, the participant will receive full refund for the class.

If a registered participant cannot attend the class and notifies Teal Velvet Bakery (or the partner hosting the class) within 2 weeks but at least one week prior to class date, the participant can choose a credit to be used toward a future class to be used within 1 calendar year of original class date OR use the transfer option (see below).

If a registered participant cannot attend the class and notifies Teal Velvet Bakery (or the partner hosting the class) within one week of class date, no refunds or credit will be provided: the participant may want to look to transfer his/her ticket to someone of their choice (see below).

If a participant does now show up for the class, the registered participant forfeits all rights to any money paid as all materials are prepared specifically for each class. No refunds or credits will be provided.

Transfers

Should a registered participant wish to transfer their ticket to someone else, they must notify Teal Velvet Bakery (or the partner hosting the class). We will not refund the original registered participant if the transferred ticket participant will not show up to the class. If any, all monetary transfers must be handled between participants; Teal Velvet Bakery (or the partner hosting the class) will not handle any money transfers.
